Everest Base Camp Trek starts from Lukla a small mountain airstrip and takes toward backyard of Sherpa villages, It is one of the home of Buddhism. Namche Bazaar the gateway local Sherpa town, the Sagarmatha National Park, the mightiest viewpoint of Kalapatthar and the Everest Base Camp itself. Furthermore, we reach Tengboche Monastery which is the highest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal and come close to four of the world's six tallest peaks: Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Cho-Oyu.
This 14 days Everest Base Camp Trek is lead by our exprienced guide who will take care entire trip. It is a tea house trek as now accomodation around the region has been built with level of comfort. All food are prepared by guesthouse with Continental, Tibetan, Western delicacy.
Equipment
Accomodation:
Accomodation in Everest region is now well maintained with clean room, hot and cold water shower, somewhere available private bath in the lower part and also almost every where along the way to Everest base camp every guest houses has free wifi facility. In Namche there is now star level fancy hotels has been built. Rest you could enjoy with well maintained Guest Houses.
Food:
Now almost everywhere along the way to Everest Base Camp, You could find variety of western, continental and Tibetan food. All guest house has menu basis restaurant and every trekker could order their food by choosing menu items. there is some guesthouse and hotel in Namche where you could find buffet system breakfast and food.
Physical Fitness for The Trek
This is moderate trek suitable for passionate walkers with the ability to walk at least 5-7 hours a day with a light day pack. Walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in lower altitudes; however, if you are in excellent health with average physical fitness and have a positive attitude, self confidence and strong will power, you could accomplish this trek easily. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior to the trip is a good idea to enhance your body strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases are required to consult with their doctor before taking the trip. It is also advised that you inform Tibet Holidays about the medical condition before booking the trek.
Best Time to Travel
Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy some private time with nature then taking this trip during summer (June, July & August) could also be an option.
Flight and Baggage Restriction:
All flight to Lukla are operated from Manthali which is 132km far from Kathmandu and it requires 4-5 hrs drive. Flight to Lukla is the gate way to take Everest Base Camp Trek, It is a small aircraft twin otter, 16 Passerger in one flight. It is a mountain flight to Lukla. As it is a small aircraft there is only limited baggage is allowed. Max 12 Kg baggage and Max. 6 Kg handbag is allowed for Manthali to Lukla flight.
Physical Fitness:
There is no specific physical fitness is required everyone could take the trip but it is essential to be in good health as you are trekking up to 5500m. People who have longs and heart and blood deseases must consult their doctor before taking part in the trip.
Packing List
As we believe in carbon neutral footprint, The packing list has been created with the objective of getting maximum comfort with minimum possible weight. Please bring only what is necessary, as this will be helpful to you. We suggest the following items.
Peronal Daypack Items
- Duffel bag for storing gear(s) (if not weatherproof, bring lg. plastic bags)
- Warm sleeping bag (coveragge of -8 to -10 degrees centigrade)
- SM first aid kit (blister kit with specifically 2nd skin, aspirin or ibu, cough drops, tape)
- Headlamp
- Camera and extra batteries
- 2-liter water bottles (if you bring a camelback, bring a nalgene, also)
- Water purification tablets (iodine or chlorine to carry in daypack)
- Insulated drinking mug
- Lightweight toiletries (travel size shampoo, soap is best for trekking)
- Sunscreen and lip screen
- Small towel
- Anti bacterial wipes or lotion (for face and hands), Prescription medications, Over the counter drugs for diarrhea, headaches and cold.

Down parka, Gore-Tex shell and pants, Warm fleece jacket, Comfy trekking boots (we like lowa), Lightweight shoes, 4 pair of trekking socks, 2 long sleeve capilene shirts, 2 capilene bottoms (mid and heavy weight), 2 trekking shirts (non-cotton is best), Trekking pants (zip off shorts are better), 1 pair of shorts, 1 bandana, 1 pair of winter gloves (ie: ski), 1 pair of lightweight gloves (ie: fleece), Flip flops, Warm hat, Sun hat, 2 pairs of sunglasses
