Upper Mustang Trekking

Upper Mustang Trekking is opened for tourist since 1991 to trek. The landscape of  Upper Mustang is barren moonscape of  sandstone pillars and discontinuous moraine terraces which together present a colorful mosaic made up principally of an earthen brown, yellow and red. It is easy trekking along the permitted route to Lo Manthang which lies in the very heart of Mustang. The trek to Upper Mustang is through an almost treeless barren landscape and strong wind across the  area in the afternoon. Being called “Upper Mustang” is rain shadow of the Himayaya of Nepal. In reality, this kingdom gets rain much less than rest places of Nepal.

Upper Mustang Trekking Restricted Area in Nepal can be quote in necessity of client’s desire. For an old and physically not fitness people Horse Riding Trekking will support you to complete the full Restricted Area of Mustang. The houses in Mustang are mostly made from stone and sun baked mud bricks. The city wall and the four storey palace in Lo-Manthang are some of the beautiful architectures of Mustang region. Another attraction in the Mustang region is the Tiji Festival influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, which is timed to coincide with the end of the dry season (late winter/spring).  The Mustagi people have their own way of family life, which is quite surprising for many outsiders. All the brothers in the family are married to a single girl, what you may call a practice of polyandry.
